Click here for a full listing of courses offered in BC. You will be reimbursed for expenses including child care if required. Details on reimbursement for courses can be found here. You will be reimbursed $50 by PSAC, $25 by our component, the Union of National Employees (UNE) and $25 by the Local, or $100 total, for each full weekend day you attend a course. Please contact a member of the executive for more details.
Update: Effective January 1, 2013, the PSAC reimbursement has increased from $25 to $50 per day, bringing the total daily reimbursement to $100.
Talking Union Basics and Grievance Handling are two of three prerequisites to becoming a union steward; the third is Understanding and Interpreting the Collective Agreement, which should be offered in the Fall. We can always use more representation.
